DIY Spring Wedding Favor Inspiration
When you’re planning a wedding, it’s the details that matter – the small things, like your invitation wording or your dessert choices, those are the things that share who you and your fiance are with the people you love. Favors, whether or not you choose to include a gift for each guest in your wedding day, are one more way to share your story. They’re also a good opportunity to roll up your sleeves for a little bit of DIY wedding planning. So, without further ado, let’s get down to celebrating the warm weather (and your upcoming wedding) and talk DIY spring wedding favors.
Some of the simplest DIY wedding favor projects are celebrations of this season. Everything is green and bright and new, and these favors are projects that incorporate those elements in easy and unique ways. Think small potted or boxed plants, like the daffodils below, or something truly unique like the air plants above.
Herbs (basil, mint and rosemary are pretty, great smelling and low maintenance) and succulents (also low maintenance!) are other options that are easy to find and plant.
These plantable paper hearts aren’t exactly a DIY project, but the potted paper plant leaves below (which are also filled with plant seeds) would be a breeze to put together.
What better way to incorporate the new season in your wedding than some details straight from the garden? This handmade sign and wheelbarrow filled with soil would be ideal for an outdoor or country wedding.
Then there are the spring-inspired sweets. Homemade candy, personalized candy-filled treat bags, or brightly-colored French macarons, or your favorite bite-sized dessert to send home with guests as a midnight snack.
Are you planning on DIY-ing your wedding favors?

Chris is in a band, and Danielle appreciates the same music he does, so it was a match made in heaven. White Willow Photography set up a stylized shoot for this sweet couple featuring vinyl records, homemade bunting, and Chris’ guitar.

Savor the Second Time Around and Get Married in Saint Lucia
It’s time to plan the wedding, and you’ve been here before. You want this second wedding to be special and celebratory, but the idea of throwing a nearly identical event doesn’t sound like the way to do it. So why not ditch the traditional and fly south? Your nearest and dearest won’t mind soaking up the rays in Saint Lucia, and your wedding will be the perfect excuse for them to take a little vacay.
Sunswept Resorts has two locations in Saint Lucia that will give your wedding a lush backdrop in a relaxing setting. First, plan your wedding at Rendezvous, a unique boutique hotel right on a white sand beach, and close to fascinating local landmarks to explore. They are well-versed in wedding planning and have a staff to help you design your event. Your guests will love staying at Rendezvous because it’s not some gigantic hotel metropolis; it’s approachable, intimate, and beautiful.
After your wedding, make a change and honeymoon at The Body Holiday, a resort that specializes in luxurious relaxation and amenities. Their award-winning wellness centre has a wide offering of different therapies and beauty treatments. And when you work up an appetite after all of this indulgent relaxation, The Body Holiday has three restaurants that all believe in local ingredients and well-balanced meals.
Your second wedding can be even more amazing than your first. Cherish it at Sunswept Resorts!

First Look Photo Contest
The first time a groom sees his bride is a magical moment, one that we love to see captured in a photograph – which is precisely why we’re kind of obsessed with each and every image that’s been entered in our First Look Photo Contest. The excitement, the nerves, the sheer emotion of it all…it’s the reason that we’re all here, and one of the many reasons we will always have a special place in our hearts for weddings. The contest is ending soon (you’ve still got a couple of days to cast your votes!), but we’ll probably be swooning over these gorgeous images long after it’s finished. Just in case you haven’t seen it yet, here are a few of our – and your – favorite first look photos so far.
Head over to the contest page to show these talented photographers some love – and pick your own favorite photos!
